Three-way column speaker with universal use.

By doubling the massive 8" bass drivers with a lightweight polypropylene diaphragm, the Wega 55 MKIII has a considerable power reserve and plenty of drive in the bass. The polypropylene diaphragm is lightweight yet stiff, making the bass powerful and dense, yet very fast and accurate.

The same concept is applied to the midrange driver with a 5.5" polypropylene diaphragm in a rigid separate chamber. This solution, in conjunction with the 1" Vifa tweeter, is the secret of the Wega 55 MKIII's accuracy.

The bassreflex soundboard uses a sandwich front to increase the rigidity of the system. The drivers are recessed with minimal gap to suppress edge diffraction. Both flat and cross bracing are applied inside the cabinet.

Sophisticated electronic switching is implemented on an isolation panel with solder points. The individual components are glued to the panel and the component pins are connected directly to each other using the D2D method. The solder joint system is also used for the connection of drivers and terminal pins.

On the bottom side of the loudspeaker there are nuts with M6 metric thread for installation of spikes. The connection terminals allow both Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping connections and the use of cables up to 4.5 ^mm2.
