DUAL began researching the development of plates in the early 1930s and began offering the first results to its clientele in the late 1930s. However, the start of World War II halted all production of luxury goods. Further production showed promise in the 1960s with the production of sturdy and durable turntables, which were in demand. They were eventually sold not only in Europe and the United States but also in Asia.

This type is equipped with fully automatic mechanisms. The turntable body is solidly made and easy to use, and is the best solution for entering the world of vinyl. The pre-installed tracking force and anti-slip force make it easy to startas well as unpacking the product, connecting or recording it and finally listening to the music.

Specific modified technological processes have affected the arm, chassis and drive area in particular. A balanced tonearm, preset tracking and antiskating control, including a Headshell with 13 mm mounting holes are the cornerstones of the design characteristics of the device. The chassis technology is typically a floating mechanism. The wooden chassis dampens vibrations and the aluminum plate is equipped with an anti-static felt pad. The drive technology is due to the use of a belt with a polished flat belt, an electronically controlled DC motor and anti-vibration capability to dampen shocks. There is also an automatic stop with tone arm return. An Audio Technica 91E magnetic cartridge is included.
