Indiana Line's roots date back to 1977. Over its many years on the market, it has firmly established itself as one of the most important Italian brands in the audio industry. Indiana Line's product range consists mainly of loudspeakers and installation speakers. Indiana Line designers consistently strive to combine the highest quality of production with a rational use of components. The result is models that in many ways outperform competing loudspeakers in a similar price range.

The new version of the top-of-the-line Diva Series

Among the Indiana Line models available on the market, the Diva Series has a special place. This top-of-the-range product line perfectly combines refined design with solid craftsmanship and high-quality sound reproduction. The models in the new Diva range feature mechanically and acoustically stable sound cabinets and a stylish finish, making them a perfect fit for any interior. The front panel of the column is painted in matt lacquer (white or black, depending on the colour scheme). The rest of the cabinet is covered with PVC veneer. Two colour options are available: black front wall with black cabinet body or white front wall with oak cabinet body.

Diva 3

The Indiana Line Diva 3 is a versatile 2-way design that is sophisticated down to the smallest detail. The designers based it primarily on the Diva 252 and Diva 262 shelving models. However, the Diva 3 incorporates many improvements over Indiana Line's older loudspeakers, enhancing the quality of the sound reproduced. These improvements include technical solutions, materials used and uniform components. The Diva 3 is ideal for smaller rooms where the placement of floorstanding loudspeakers can be challenging.

Diva 3 is a loudspeaker with a cabinet composed of two MDF parts. The first part is a 25mm thick front panel, increasing the mechanical stability of the cabinet and preventing unwanted resonances, thus improving sound clarity. On the front is a bass reflex port allowing the speakers to be placed close to the wall. The accessory includes a foam plug that helps control the low frequency level and allows users to adjust the sound to their preference. The front panel is recessed into the cabinet and tilted slightly backwards, with a shallower recess at the bottom and a deeper recess at the top. The attractive design is accentuated by a magnetically attached, acoustically transmissive grille.

Transducers with improved design

The midrange driver in the Diva 3 features a new basket design. The ribbing is now more efficient and allows air to flow freely around the back of the diaphragm, reducing unwanted resonances. The basket has been purposely designed to work seamlessly with the new proprietary Dual-Wave suspension, providing both superior sound quality and aesthetics.

Curv Membrane Midrange

The 15cm mid-bass driver in the Diva 3 2-way speaker boasts a diaphragm made from a materialCurv (polypropylene composite) membrane that delivers a natural sound with precisely rendered low frequencies. It's worth noting that these diaphragms are made exclusively for Indiana Line on special order.

Computer optimized transducer design

The magnetic system in the mid-bass driver has been optimized using finite element analysis (FEA) to improve performance over the widest possible range of amplitudes and frequencies. The magnetic core is highly saturated, which reduces the inductance of the coil and eliminates distortion caused by inductance changes. In addition, inductance is linearized, as with many Indiana Line models, using an Aluring demodulation ring. As a result, the sound remains transparent and clear regardless of volume level, and the speakers can handle even the most demanding songs or musical genres.

Diaphragm suspension - Dual-Wave

The midrange driver in Indiana Line Diva 3 loudspeakers features a precision-designed Dual-Wave suspension that extends the speaker's range of linear motion. This reduction in distortion, including intermodulation distortion, translates into improved articulation throughout the entire range, from low bass to midrange. This improvement is evident in the sound of a wide range of instruments, particularly percussion, stringed instruments and acoustic instruments. Dual-Wave suspension also reduces uneven frequency response resulting from resonances at the edge of the mid-bass driver diaphragm. In addition, the Dual-Wave suspension has an exceptionally aesthetic appearance, reminiscent of professional stage equipment that uses the so-called "Wave". The suspension is like an accordion suspension.

Modified tweeter with new front plate

The Diva 3 tweeter features a unique radial damping chamber, a hallmark of Indiana Line speakers. It surrounds the voice coil, allowing natural reproduction of high frequencies and eliminating unwanted resonances typical of conventional tweeter designs. The front of the tweeter is cast aluminum and has an optimally shaped, rubber surface that adjusts the dispersion of high frequencies and allows them to fill the listening room.

Computer-optimized excursion

The turnout for the Diva 3 has been computer optimised. This made it possible to predict and verify the behaviour of this important component before creating the physical turnout. Its simple but unique topology was specifically chosen for the Diva 3, and the electroacoustic transducers used were put through many hours of listening tests to confirm the effects achieved. The result is balanced frequency response, low distortion and minimal power loss. Proper parameter settings with a minimum impedance of 4 ohms means the speaker can work with virtually any amplifier. The tweeter's filter section uses only air coils and foil capacitors, whosewhich eliminates unwanted distortions often found in electrolytic or ferrite-core capacitors.
