A180 - 2½-way column-mounted loudspeakers

Stage A180 are 2½-way column speakers sized for most rooms.They can be used as Hi-Fi speakers for a home stereo system or as front speakers for a home theater system. Whether you use them to play your favorite live concert, studio recording or dynamic movie, the A180s will always deliver reliable performance.Accurate detailed reproduction and characteristic JBL bass ensure that the A180s will be a great choice at all times.

The speakers can handle up to 225 watts of power with a sensitivity of 90 dB. This means that they can present, for example, the dynamic sound of a live concert with ease. An impedance of 6 Ω means that you will be able to use these speakers with most amplifiers and AVRs without any problems.receivers, while getting a higher peak power output than standard 8 Ω speakers.

The 1m high cabinet made of 1.6cm thick milled MDF is sufficiently damped and reinforced. The generation of internal standing waves is thus noticeably reduced. The bracing then increases the overall rigidity of the enclosure and reduces the transmission of vibrations from the transducers.

Double.bassreflex sleeve is routed to the rear wall above the screw connection terminals, which allow connection ofnot only thick bare wires, but also wires terminated with banana or fork terminations and are suitable for Bi-Wire or Bi-Amp connections. Thanks to the bass-reflex design of the sound box, you get a rich and balanced sound even at lower volume levels.Included are removable black grill covers made of translucent fabric and a sleek bases that not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also increase the stability of the standing speaker.

2½-way design inspired by legendary JBL studio monitors.

The1" (25 mm) aluminum dome tweeter with patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) sound pipe geometry was designed for the JBL Professional M2 Master Reference Monitor. This technology improves tweeter sensitivity and dispersion at the point of excursion (120 degrees horizontally). The result is improved presentation of fine detail in a well-defined space with a typical JBL studio signature. The tweeter's division frequency is set at 2 kHz at the turnout.

Two 6.5" (165 mm ) woofers with white cone polycellulose diaphragm on rubber suspension guarantee precise presentation.low frequencies from 40 Hz, with characteristic bass response and tight contouring comparable to much more expensive corporate models. The lower driver is designed for the lowest frequencies and has a crossover frequency set at 1.4 kHz. Two and a half bands means that each of the woofers is assigned slightly different tasks. While the lower of the two drivers is dedicated to bass only, the upper of the pair, although starting at the same lowest frequency, butits upper frequency division extends into the upper frequencies, where the tweeter takes over.
