The Pre Box RS Digital combines all the features of the Box RS DAC plus adds linear preamplifier with a solid-state output stage with the alternative option of using a tube output stage.

As with many of Pro-Ject's high-end digital products, the Pre Box RS Digital utilizes Texas Instruments' PCM1792 DAC chips, and abut in this case, it's 2 chips in dual differential mode for maximum fidelity. As an optional feature, a second DAC chip from Texas Instruments is implemented that can operate at resolutions up to 32-bit / 384 kHz.

The Pre Box RS Digital can also be used as a high performance headphone amplifier with selectable impedance for high-end headphones.

Pre Box RS Digital presents three-dimensional sound, excellent micro dynamics and perfect resolution combined with the flexibility to use a wide range of digital sources and 1 analog audio source.It can be an excellent partner for the Pro-Ject CD transport CD Box RS, where together they guarantee excellent sound experience, as the I2S connection, which is transmitted via RJ45, allows jitter-free disc playback.
