Nailbomb was formed in the mid-90s as a side project of Max Cavalera of Sepultura and producer/engineer Alex Newport. "Point Blank" is their only studio album, released in 1994 on Roadrunner Records. The album combines the thrash metal fury of Sepultura with the industrial stripped down Fudge Tunnel, which was a big hit on the festival scene at the time. The album features guest appearances from almost the entire Sepultura lineup (Andreas Kisser, Igor Cavalera), with Dino Cazares of Fear Factory and Ritchie Bujnowski of Wicked Death. The first track "Wasting Away" appeared in the 1995 film "To Die For", while "Exploitation" is a cover of British crust-punkers Doom. Between the relentless riffs and the pounding roar of the drums, the lyrics remain utterly nihilistic throughout, while the album feeds off left-field samples that make the whole thing feel disoriented and inhuman. "Point Black" goes full throttle from the first note, it's edgy and hellishly loud.

Nailbomb vznikli v polovině 90. let jako vedlejší projekt Maxe Cavalery ze Sepultury a producenta a zvukového inženýra Alexe Newporta. "Point Blank" je jejich jediné studiové album, původně vydané v roce 1994 u Roadrunner Records.

Album kombinuje thrashmetalové běsnění v břiše Sepultury s odosobněným industriálem Fudge Tunnel - což byl v té době velký hit na festivalové scéně. Na albu hostuje téměř celá sestava Sepultury (Andreas Kisser, Igor Cavalera) a navíc Dino Cazares z Fear Factory a Ritchie Bujnowski z Wicked Death.

První skladba "Wasting Away" se objevila ve filmu "To Die For" z roku 1995, zatímco "Exploitation" je coververzí britských crust-punkerů Doom. Mezi nemilosrdnými riffy a úderným řevem bicích zůstávají texty po celou dobu naprosto nihilistické, zatímco album pohánějí levicové samplerové příspěvky, díky nimž to celé působí dezorientovaně a nelidsky. "Point Black" je od prvního tónu na plný plyn, nervózní a pekelně hlasitá.

"Point Blank" je k dispozici v limitované edici 3000 jednotlivě číslovaných kopií na vinylu 'Blade Bullet'.
