The transducers have an excellent frequency response and guarantee the highest transparency and excellent intelligibility of sound recordings. Since Nagaoka has perfected the MM system, it rivals and in many cases beats other much more expensive MM and MC transducers! All Nagaoka transceivers are equipped with Nagaoka MI technology® MI (Moving Iron). This gives them the high level of detail associated with the more expensive Moving Coil (MC) systems, while retaining the convenience of the interchangeable tip and high performance associated with Moving Magnet (MM) types. The transmission incorporates a powerful Samarium - Cobalt magnet and high output coil levels, so that a very lightweight steel and nickel end extension can be used instead of the much heavier permanent magnet used in conventional designs. This reduces the moving mass of the cartridge, allowing the shaker to follow the recording groove more faithfully. The MI system is fully compatible with the preamplifier for MM cartridges. The result and advantage of this demanding system to produce is high clarity and superior pickup capability with the musicality and tonality accuracy of MC cartridges. Nagaoka phono cartridges use only top quality materials with special workmanship. High-quality designed magnetic circuit, precision-made tremor and pickup tip, all 100% development and manufacturing Made in Japan by Nagaoka. The result is an amazing sound previously only found in the much more expensive MM and MC transmissions.
